I truly hate this. I hate it when people beat and abuse animals, but when the animal retaliates, the animal has to be put down.

It’s terrible that the animal was abused, but when you have a 7 tonne wild animal stampeding down the road and putting everyone else in danger, you can’t just let it go.

Nobody deserved death. Neither Tyke nor the people she killed. Btw, if you noticed those people were just performers and/or probably trainers. Maybe it wasnt their true wish but their arranged yet awful line of work to torture the helpless animal to frenzy and doom it to eventual death along with them. If you are talking about the managers who decided this, then I somewhat see your point.

I’m kind of neutral here… In other words I don’t like the fact that the elephant was being severely abused but I am also not okay with the people getting beaten half to death by the elephant. I at least hope they got medical help afterwards. I mean, if that thing was charging at me I would not hesitate to harm it. THE STAND YOUR GROUND LAW FOR A REASON PEOPLE!!!

Anyone that watched this and felt sorry for the people in any way is sick. No, it’s isn’t weird to feel sorry for abusers, and that’s what the people were. I hope they felt extreme pain when being trampled. That elephant is a hero, I wanted to punch the screen so bad when they were shooting it. It was so confused, and in so much pain. You could even see the pain in its’ eyes, this practically scarred me. I’m not anti-human, just against people who are so mental to treat any innocent being this way, whether animal or human. My goodness the poor thing, the amount of abuse it took before it finally snapped…

That shows how brutal humans are! They made that animal so I sane that she died! It wasn’t her fault! The poor animal was lying there dying in so much pain and they were just shooting and shooting and shooting her! Imagine the pain of you getting shot that many times and not dying till the very last shot! If u was there I would be telling the people not to shoot her and to just stay safe! She did nothing to deserve that! I’m happy that she hurt some people those a**holes and I hope that she hurt many more! She is now my all time hero! R.I.P little guy! Hope your living a good life up there wherever you are! You will be missed! Love you with lots of love!!!!!!!

Typical human reactions is to shoot…shoot…shoot….kill…kill. Irrational and disgusting. They could have subdued the Elephant in a sane manner. Does anyone there not know what the word ‘Tranquilizer’ is???? Sedate the Elephant, remove it to a safe area and everything would have turned out fine. What a sad, sad thing to watch.

I can understand why the elephant went wild, I can understand why the people had to kill him. It’s just a pity that there was now one with the right caliber and the knowledge where to shoot an elephant to kill it immediately. That made it very, very sad…

This is one of the saddest videos I’ve ever seen. I don’t feel one bit sorry for the people Tyke injured or killed. Circuses are a very cruel industry that only sees dollar signs, not animals with feelings and emotions. Rest In Peace, Tyke. Damn all those who used and abused you.
