rch 25th, 2015 the video above was posted to the YouTube channel, “Socially Diphunksional” with the following description:
Four teens on March 25th 2015, around 8:30am assaulted and abused by El Centro College Campus Police in Downtown Dallas,Tx. Treated as criminals while they were waiting for their bus when this lady walks up and tells them to put their hands on the wall.
It’s unclear to me if the person recording the encounter between the teenagers and this police officer (whom I’ll be calling Ms. RoboCop from here on out) is the same person that host the YouTube channel. Nevertheless, what is clear is that Ms. RoboCop seems to be on a terror this day. Even with full knowledge that she’s being recorded, she still decides to not only verbally abuse these kids but physically abuses them as well.
From the start of the video you can tell Ms. RoboCop has a short temper and aggressive nature. The videographer is heard saying that the kids didn’t do anything wrong, that this officer just started harassing them for no reason. After getting the young men to put their hands on the wall – in the assumed position – she says, “I’ve got alot of stuff on my belt that will take care of you this afternoon. I guarantee you, I will be glad to use some of it.” A clear threat to these teenagers that she would gladly use the weapons she carries on her belt against them if they refuse to comply with her commands.
After asking if the teenagers had any “dope” and claiming to not “care nothin’ about you and your bus, you on my property now“, Ms. RoboCop decides to up her game and physically assault the young man on the end. While asking him, “what’s your name” over and over the female officer finally slaps him on the shoulder, rips his headphones out and grabs him by the shirt before placing handcuffs on him. The videographer states that the young man (in black clothing) did tell the officer his name not once but twice. In the video you even hear the young man say, “I already told you my name.”
It appears that Ms. RoboCop was using this kid as an example to the others because the next young man in line is asked the same question, “what’s your name?” Of course she’s got a handful of the man’s hoodie and responds sarcastically to him when he gives her his name, but the point was proven. She’s gained control of a situation by using fear and everyone in line probably answered her question because they didn’t want to go to jail.
Sadly the videographer had to leave before Ms. Robocop concluded her harassment of local teenagers. What was caught on video was disturbing enough. Most people who make a threat about using weapons they carry, slap a 16 year old kid and illegally search people sitting on a park bench end up in jail. I highly doubt this was the case here, nothing but another day for Ms. RoboCop who keeps the bus benches clear and the humiliation of her victims high. She really taught these teens a lesson.
