OTHER HOTELS GIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THE POLICE TOO

After blogging about how Motel 6 executives have started providing the information of their guest to police, without their knowledge or consent, others have come forward with similar claims. The comments on Facebook aren’t the only claims that other hotels participate in such activities as well. This morning this was sent in via CopBlock.org’s submission tab but Karen:

My brother stopped to stay a Premier Hotels, after a business meeting in Phoenix, too tired to drive home. Police entered his room around 6 am and placed him under arrest for a misdemeanor traffic ticket from 5 years ago. He was cuffed and put into a van with 5 others, including a very confused and upset couple traveling through the state to see the Grand Canyon, and carted off.

My brother was sent to one of the 3 county jails. I was unable to get him out because they refused to take a credit card from another State. They refused to release him to our brother who brought a money order which was 3 cents too much.

He was transferred to The Sheriffs department in Coconino County where he was released after I contacted an attorney there. Premier Hotels sends guest information to the police and conduct a daily, early morning round up of innocent guests. It took 3 days to get him released. He was given two oranges and 1oz of peanut butter to eat.

Premier Hotels seemed to be ahead of Motel 6 in assisting the police in violating people’s rights. Has this happened to you? Have you been arrested by police while staying at a hotel chain? If so, consider sharing your story via CopBlock’s submission tab, this wasn’t something I was aware of until recently. Let’s make sure others know what they’re getting into when the stay at these hotels. I know I wouldn’t want anyone providing my information to the police and I wonder what the staff would say if you ask them about it?
